As mining operations grow, cooling quickly becomes one of the biggest challenges. So, in this article, we’re focusing on immersion cooling and showcasing solutions from Fog Hashing, the global leader in liquid immersion systems.

From compact setups for home miners to mid-sized operations and industrial-scale farms, Fog Hashing offers solutions for every level. There's even a dedicated system built specifically for WhatsMiner M66s or M66s+ units.

We’ll show you why Fog Hashing leads the way in immersion cooling, and how their solutions can optimise your mining setup. Let's dive into the world of immersion cooling with Fog Hashing!

Introducing Fog Hashing

With more than 5,000 customers globally, Fog Hashing backs its deployments with a guaranteed supply chain and strict production standards that ensure reliability and on-time delivery.

The company also prioritises sustainability. Many Fog Hashing solutions allow miners to reuse waste heat for residential, commercial, or industrial applications, reducing energy waste and increasing overall efficiency.

With unmatched reliability, global expertise, and innovative designs, Fog Hashing has become the trusted partner for miners at every scale, from home setups to the world’s largest industrial farms.

The best bit? You don't even need an immersion miner to use these systems!

They are compatible with 98% of mining rig models on the market! That includes both immersion and air-cooled miners from the top manufacturers, including Antminer, WhatsMiner, Avalon, and Iceriver. The only exception is the M Series, which is specifically made for WhatsMiner M66s or M66s+ units.

C Series: Home and Small-Scale Mining

These Fog Hashing kits are designed for smaller-scale mining setups such as home, office, or test environments.

These systems run quietly, and by protecting hardware from dust and oxidation, they can add years to the lifespan of your machines.

All systems deliver real-time performance tracking, while an integrated dry cooler keeps temperatures stable. Automatic power adjustment ensures optimal efficiency, and waste heat can be captured and repurposed!

Which system is right for you?

C1 → For 1 miner (40 L coolant)
C2 → For 2 miners - (80 L coolant)
C6 → For 6 miners - (200 L coolant)

You can also add coolant for the C1 and C2, and coolant + PDU for the C6! Just select your chosen configuration on the product page.

B Series: Mid-Sized Warehouse Cooling

The Fog Hashing B Series bridges the gap between small setups and full mining farms, delivering professional-grade immersion cooling at warehouse scale.

The B100 is for you if you want a modular, mid-sized unit that supports up to 20 miners.

It’s simple to expand and link multiple units together to create a B100 Cluster, scaling up to 200 miners in one integrated system.

BC Series: Containerised Immersion Systems

The FogHashing BC Series delivers containerised, turnkey immersion cooling for industrial-scale mining.

The BC Series enables miners to scale from mid-sized operations to full megawatt deployments without piecing together separate infrastructure.

Which system is right for you?

BC10 Semi Pro → For 48 miners (1800 L coolant)
BC10 Pro → For 96 miners (3600 L coolant)
BC20 Pro → For 192 Antminer or 240 WhatsMiner miners (6000 L coolant)
BC40 Elite → For 200 miners (7000 L coolant)
BC40 Pro → For 384 Antminer or 480 WhatsMiner miners (14000 L coolant).

With its built-in redundancy, adaptive cooling, and intelligent management, it provides a plug-and-play path to stable, high-density immersion mining anywhere in the world.

M Series: Purpose-Built for WhatsMiner

The M Series is built for big farms running WhatsMiner M66s or M66s+ miners. These systems handle anywhere from a handful of units to hundreds of miners per container.

The MC40 Container is for you if you need a serious industrial solution. The container supports up to 320 M66S or M66S+ units, comes with everything built in (tanks, cooling, power distribution, monitoring), and keeps running even during maintenance thanks to its single-loop, tank-isolation design.

Immersion Explainer

Immersion cooling starts by placing ASIC miners into a tank filled with a specially engineered dielectric coolant. The heated coolant is then circulated out of the tank into a Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) or external heat exchanger.

Here, the heat is removed and the cooled liquid is pumped back into the tank. Because the miners are fully submerged, they are shielded from dust, static, and moisture, which reduces wear and lowers maintenance needs.

Advanced immersion setups also include dual-loop systems that allow the captured heat to be repurposed, for example, to warm buildings, provide hot water, or support industrial processes, turning a by-product of mining into a valuable resource.

At scale, immersion systems integrate tanks, pipelines, Smart PDUs, and monitoring software for full control of cooling, power, and security, either locally or remotely.

Immersion Glossary

GlossaryTurnkey System
This means everything you need is already integrated, from immersion tanks and coolant circulation to power distribution, networking, monitoring, and external coolers. Simply connect power and internet, and the container is ready to run!

Built-in Redundancy
A design feature where critical systems, such as cooling, power, or network components, have backup units in place. If one fails, the backup takes over automatically.

PDU (Power Distribution Unit)
Provides centralised power management and monitoring for mining machines inside the container.

Smart PDU (Smart Power Distribution Unit)
An advanced power management device that not only distributes electricity to miners but also provides monitoring, control, and automation features. It allows operators to track power usage, set limits, and remotely manage connected hardware for greater efficiency and reliability.

PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness)
A measure of energy efficiency in data centres or mining farms. A PUE close to 1.0 indicates nearly all energy is used for computing, not cooling.

Dielectric Coolant
A non-conductive liquid used in immersion cooling that absorbs heat directly from ASIC chips.

Dual-Loop System
A two-stage cooling process that keeps miners stable while enabling waste heat recovery for reuse in heating systems.

All-Round Intelligent Management System
Integrated platform for monitoring cooling, power, and security, with both local and remote control.

Final Thoughts: A Long Shot That Keeps the Spirit Alive

Solo mining may not offer consistent rewards - but that’s not why people do it. It’s about reclaiming the essence of Bitcoin: open-source, decentralized, and self-sovereign.

The odds may be slim, but the impact is real. Every solo miner strengthens the network’s diversity. Every block found proves it’s still possible. And every Bitaxe plugged in at home is a quiet vote for freedom, curiosity, and innovation.

So whether you’re in it for the challenge, the thrill, or the principles - solo mining is more than a gamble. It’s a statement.
