Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you are new to cryptocurrency or an experienced miner adding the latest releases to your existing mining farm, our team is here to assist you along the way and help you rapidly grow your business.

Coin Mining Central

Registered in the UK, Coin Mining Central is a multi-cultural team specializing in supplying the most sought after ASIC Mining hardware for cryptocurrency mining, ranging from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash, Litecoin and Dogecoin to other less well known coins such as Kadena, Handshake and Dash

Our Hong Kong warehouse proximity to most major manufacturers allows us to optimize our international logistical costs saving you both time and money.

Within the past 3 years, Coin Mining Central has become the leading supplier of mining hardware and cryptocurrency related products in the UK, Europe and Rest of The World.

During this time we have established a strong working relationship and a high level of support from the major ASIC mining hardware manufacturers such as Bitmain, Goldshell, Innosilicon, MicroBT, Canaan, IBelink and more.

CMC team is committed to providing exceptional first line support and high standard of customer service as well as dedicated to providing the best cryptocurrency mining equipment available on the market.

Our customer base ranges from avid enthusiasts setting up their very first mining rig to experienced miners adding the latest releases to their existing mining farms and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with each and every customer.

It is our goal to ensure you have access to the mining hardware you need while minimizing transit times, eliminating risk, and reducing costs and offering pre-sale and after-sale support via mail.

Although some of our operations are handled from the UK, all of our miners are stored in and shipped directly from our Hong Kong shipping facility.

Please note, when orders are placed for the UK, upon arrival our team will clear customs and the units will be delivered to our storage facility before diversion via courier to customers address.

We have established a strong working relationship with the manufacturers, which allows us to provide one of the most competitive prices on the market.

As we supply new as well as used miners, the prices of our products can range from as little as £199.99 to as high as £44,499.99* (prices subject to change).

As a standard rule, the price of an ASIC miner depends on the unit's profitability and performance, therefore the higher performance and profitability, the higher the price

The cryptocurrencies which you can mine are dependent on the algorithm which the ASIC miner supports. Our most popular miners mine - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, Dash, Kadena, Decred, Siacoin, however some of the advanced miners can mine as many as 8 other coins.

For example: ASIC miners that support the SHA-256 algorithm can be used for Bitcoin mining and ASIC miners that support the Ethash algorithm can be used for mining Ethereum. Please note, ASIC miners can only mine the cryptocurrencies on that algorithm specifically and can not be re-programmed to mine other coins.
You can see each miners mining abilities in the products specification under Mineable coins.

To see the full range of miners we sell, please go to our homepage and click on the Products drop down list.
Here you will be able to shop miners by cryptocurrency, brand , algorithm or simply select view all and look through our complete product list.

Payments

We are not able to deduct VAT from our prices and Invoices.
Please note, s
ales VAT is provided for orders to the UK only, outside of the UK sales VAT is zero rated by default.

As all of our units are stored in and shipped from Hong Kong, when orders are placed for the UK, they will first need to be imported to the UK, cleared customs and shipped to our UK storage facility, before diverting it via a courier to the customer's UK address.

Customers who are based outside of the UK, (upon receipt of the unit) are liable to cover their own import taxes, whereas for UK customers we are dealing with this on their behalf and handle all import-related fees and taxes. Therefore our advertised UK unit costs include all extra fees.

Due to the high demand of ASIC miners, we ask our customers to pay for their order and provide a copy of their payment receipt within 24 hours of placing the order.

Please note, we are not able to reserve any units for our customers until the payment for the order has been received.

We only accept payment in GBP via wire transfer (online or direct bank deposit) or via cryptocurrency.

Full details of payment options can be found here.

Although we prefer to receive payments in full, as long as the full amount is sent within 24hrs and you've added your order details to all parts of your transfers, we do allow for payment to be sent in parts. Due to the high demand of ASIC miners, we ask our customers to provide proof of payment within 24 hours of placing the order.

Once an order has been paid for, please send us a copy of of your wire transfer or crypto payment proof to: info@coinminingcentral.com

We can confirm that this is not an error and it is nothing to worry about.
Modulr is an intermediate bank which is partnered with Revolut.

You can see further information regarding this here.

The HS CODE for all miners is 8471.50

This number is what miners are classified under for import and is used by data processing machines to calculate VAT.

Although we take cryptocurrency payments to our Coinbase Commerce wallet, you do not specifically need a Coinbase account to make payment for your order in cryptocurrency. At checkout you can make payment from any account / company in which you hold your cryptocurrency.

Sending and receiving payments in Coinbase Commerce pretty much follows the same steps as to/from any crypto exchange, including Binance.

Please note Coinbase Commerce supports payments only through the ERC-20 network for USDC, DAI and Ethereum.
We accept payment by either Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, DAI, Litecoin, Ethereum and USDC.
The most important part is to use the correct “network” when sending payment, otherwise sending and receiving unsupported assets through Wallet can cause you to lose them.

Please make sure you complete the following steps:
1. Click on the Coinbase Commerce link provided.

2. Select your preferred cryptocurrency, a deposit wallet address will be provided for this.
3. In Binance; select the corresponding cryptocurrency and click “Withdraw”
4. Add the deposit wallet address provided by Coinbase Commerce
5. Select the Network provided in Coinbase Commerce.
6. Enter the Withdrawal amount
6. Click “Withdraw”

Shipping

In-stock

This means that we have these units in-stock at our warehouse in Hong Kong, from where we ship all of our units from.

Rest of the World - In Stock vs. United Kingdom - In stock

This means that we have two different batches of units in stock.
One is for shipping to UK only and the other is for the rest of the world.

‘Month’ batch (ie. April batch)

This means that these units are from further release batches and will only be released by the manufacturer on the said ‘Month’.

Please note the predicted release month is set by the manufacturer and Coin Mining Central has no control over the exact release date and cannot be held responsible if the manufacturer withholds, withdraws or delays the batch release.

Please note, any shipping or delivery dates provided are estimates only, we are not responsible for any delay from the courier companies or manufacturers. This includes and is not limited to the expected release date of any new miners or any couriers transit being spot checked by border control.

As per standard, we aim to arrange dispatch for all in-stock units within 7 working days of receiving full payment for the order.

IN- STOCK UNITS (UK)

It takes 5-10 working days for the units to arrive in the UK and for us to clear customs.
We then add tracking details to your order page and divert the shipment to your home address.
It then takes a couple of days to arrive with you.

IN- STOCK UNITS (Rest of the World)*

It takes 5-10 working days for the units to arrive in your country.

* For shipments to Russia and Kazakhstan:
For these countries we offer DDP special line service and once the units are dispatched it takes between 15-20 working days to arrive. The units are shipped from our Hong Kong facility to our shipping partner in Moscow and then forwarded to your address in Russia. There are no customs clearance or duty charges as this is handled by our team, therefore you will only need to handle the domestic shipment from Moscow to your delivery address.

FUTURE RELEASE UNITS

Units will be arranged for dispatch within 5 working days of the units being released by the manufacturer. After this it follows the same shipping pattern of in-stock units.

USED UNITS

All used units will first be fully tested to ensure they are in full working order before shipment.

Used units can take slightly longer to ship due to additional testing carried out before shipment. On average the testing takes 5-7 working days. After this it follows the same shipping pattern of in-stock units.

Yes. Unless your order is to be shipped to the United Kingdom, upon receipt of the unit you will be liable to cover the relevant import fees.

You can view our full terms and conditions here.

Please reach out to your local (order specific) shipping company to arrange customs clearance and delivery.

We ship our products worldwide, however, as there a handful of countries where customs clearance can be slightly more difficult than the rest, we ask that our customers double check that they are able to handle the customs clearance in their country before placing an order with us.

If you have already checked your local customs and import rules and guidance and you are still unsure, please send us a quick message and we will do our best to assist.

If your order consists of several units and they are of different make, release batch or if they are used:

They will be shipped separately and in line with our standard processing and shipping times. As soon as each part is dispatched, a tracking number will be added to your order page. This will continue until all units are dispatched, and then your order status will change to Fulfilled.

If your order consists of several units and they are of the same make and batch:
On rare occasions parcels can be transited in other pallets and Shipping company can take a bit of extra time to arrange it on board. We advise our customers to contact the relevant shipping company at first instance to speed up the process of clearance and schedule delivery for the rest of the parcels in the shipment.

From 2023 all customers shipping goods to Europe/EEA require to provide a TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number).

TINs are also useful for identifying taxpayers who invest in other EU countries and are more reliable than other identifiers such as name and address.

To see where you can find your Taxpayer Identification Number, please click here.

Technical

Although not all miners have Certificates of Conformity, we do have them for most of our miners. Please send us an email and we will either issue you with a certificate or we will provide you with a link for a download from the manufacturers website.

The profitability of each miner (per day) can be checked here

All ASIC miners sold by Coin Mining Central come with their original, only Chinese power outlet cables. As these cables are not fit for use in the rest of the world, for safety measures, the manufacturer will not include their Chinese power outlets with the miner when shipping outside of China.

Power cables suitable for European, UK, American or any other type of power sockets can be easily purchased online or at most electronics stores.

Below you can see which power supply cable is necessary for each type of ASIC miner:

*Please note:
Hydro miner cannot dissipate heat and cannot be used alone.
Specialized hydro cooling equipment should be configured according to the operating parameters of Hydro miner to dissipate heat. (Please note that Hydro miner cannot be started without heat dissipation, otherwise it may burn out the hashboard and be scrapped, which cannot be repaired according to the after-sales policy). Hydro miner power interface is specialized, need to be equipped with specialized power cable. (The reference model for the Hydro PSU AWP11 plug is LP-20-4P)

If you require further assistance or user manual please contact us via email.

Absolutely. To ensure your warranty for the miner isn’t breached, please send us an email before disassembling the miner.
In your email, please give us your order number, describe the problem and provide the serial number of the affected miner.

Please note, if you disassemble the miner without approval, miners warranty will be void.

Full warranty details can be viewed here: https://coinminingcentral.com/pages/warranty

Please send us a quick email and we will provide you with all of the documentation you require.

Unfortunately it is not possible to alter the miners to mine a different currency than it was originally built for.

You can shop miners based on their mineable currency here or you can select them from the dropdown menu on our products page.

We can provide you with full assistance from setting up to troubleshooting.

All of our miners are very simple to set up and are nearly ready to go from the box.

You will need to make sure you have an Ethernet cable to plug your miner into your router and the correct power cord.

For most miners, there is a user manual to assist with setting up, but if required, we are more than happy to assist.

In order to provide the necessary conditions for successful operation of the miner, we would advise you to prepare a stable network and power supply as well as a ventilated environment. Once this is done, you may wish to review the user guide, apply for a mining pool account and watch some tutorials relevant to your specific miner.

Please conduct a preliminary inspection of miner before operation and if you find anything outside the norm, please take photo and contact us immediately.

  • Check whether the appearance of the miner is deformed or damaged, check fan and connect wire as well.
  • Check whether miner has abnormal noise, and observe whether there are any radiating fins falling off.

Do not disassemble the miner by yourself. The miner is affixed with anti-disassembly label. The miner immediately loses warranty service while user disassembles without any permission.

ASIC miners are built for longevity. Therefore, most miners will continue to be usable for years to come and provide profitability in the foreseeable future. Please take into consideration the profitability of ASIC miners is impacted by a number of things including: the mineable coins value, the power consumption and hashrate.

The bandwidth of your crypto mining will depend on some factors. Traditionally, crypto mining does not use a lot of bandwidth. There is no specific amount of bandwidth crypto mining uses. But, at an average, if you’re mining on your own, you will need a bandwidth speed of 15kbps for inbound transactions and 12kbps for outgoing transactions.

When running an ASIC miner please make sure you have the right environmental conditions. Some small miners such as the Goldshell KD-box, Dogecoin Mini, SC Box miners are built for use at home or the office. However, if you are running a larger and more powerful ASIC miner at home you would need to make sure you have ventilation and cooling systems in place to stop the miner from overheating. This way you can reduce your downtime and keep the miner running and profitable throughout the year.

If you are interested in a home or office use miner we would recommend one of the “Box” miners from Goldshell.

These miners have a low power consumption, low noise levels and high performance:
